Here's my take on the new Visa Bulletin First, bad news for Dominicans. Separate cutoffs have now been established for the Family First and 2B preference categories which are now earlier than the worldwide dates. Family First is 01 JUN 2004 and 2B is 01 JAN 2002. Also, Indian numbers are pretty bad again with most categories stalled. Mexico is the only bright spot with some strong improvements in the employment categories. Get a job ASAP - when ur 485 is being adjudicated - they will ask for job proof and it would be good to have as many paystubs.

We got the EAD receipt for both of us.My EAD Status says card ordered but my spouses EAD is still pending. Any one in a similar situation? FP Notices receive for both of us.

Hello Everyone great community here and very useful information.
Received the email from Cris I-140 approved today.
I just would like to know how long it should generally take for I-485 approval. Now visa's were current when I file I485. What is the status now do I have to wait for visa's to be current again? Sorry for lack of knowledge GC process takes so long sometimes its good to just forget about it :)

Does the published cumulative demand data represent
a) all pending 485 cases that include primary applicants and their dependents
OR
b) all pending 485 cases that include primary applicants only?
If say, the demand data for EB3, till 2004 says 35,000 - does this mean there are a total of 35,000 pending cases in total OR does this represent primary applicants only?
If it represents primary applicants only, what is the multiplication factor we need to use to get an approximate number for total pending 485 cases?

NVC got my documents for 1 month
I am considering to email the NVC to check on the status of my case.
Should I email the NVC to check now (after waiting for 1 month) or wait another month (hence I would have waited 2 months) to check with the NVC on my status?

My I-140 was approved in May and I am still waiting for I-485 approval. I filed in August 2007 concurrently and my Priority Date is June 2004.
I thought that concurrent filing will also mean concurrent approval, but may be this is not the case. Otherwise should I call NSC and ask them about it (whats the best way to call them ?)

I am planning to go to India for emergency purpose. I have valid stampped H1B visa till Jan'2012 with my previous employer X. Now I have been working for new employer Y since Jun'2009. I have got approved 797 and have all paystubs since then. Do I need to go for visa stamping in India with new 797 or I should be able to enter US with my previous company's stampped visa?
Any quick reply is very much appreciated.

I am in the process of applying for the green card but as the labor department was delayed to send the paperwork by status became out of status, my lawyer suggested me to go back to my country apply for H1B visa and come back. That is why I want to apply for H1B visa . My lawyer tells me that there is no way I can get an approval if my company doesnt show tax return documents for the last 2 years. Is it true or there is another way or documentation which could be used in order to apply for the visa? My boss doesnt want to show the tax returns but accepts to show a bank account and different type of paperwork such as franchise agreements or certificates.
Can you please let me know if my lawyer suggests me the righ way if not which woudl be the best way to continue my green card process and get a result as soon as possible.

The big question is that why the so called "IV leadership" is not filling a FOIA request for how many EB3-I cases pending till date. Infact they should ask numbers for all the categories and their priority dates. It should be simple SQL query for USCIS.
This is such a burning issue and so many people are suffering from it. I still don't get it why would IV is not raising this issue... Can some one from leadership group respond please.......
